Hello everyone,
Thank you for the patient wait as we continue to clean up and improve on Tugthr! Recently, we have made many changes in the backend with hopes of increased efficiency loading and navigating the site. As we continue on those changes into the future as well, we are also continuing to create a better mobile experience.
Not only though are we improving the mobile and desk experiences, we are also pushing changes to our code that helps or makes the website have a better accessible experience. Meaning, we are trying to improve and build an amazing website for everyone around the world.
We hope you continue to grow and share with us as we continue our journey! Check out the recent changes, additions, and deletions below:
Website
Additions
- Headers were shifted around on all pages to create a better overall semantic structure and improve our presence on search engine results.
- New SVG icons replaced the old FontAwesome icons.
- New layout for the Status Response pages. Uses the same design as those for questions/polls, but the reaction form was improved on.
- New icons for the updated Status reaction form. Much larger, only required you click on the icon to activate the choice, versus clicking on a radio select circle.
- Vote/Login CTA language was added, as well as the icons used.
- URLs are now auto-hyperlinked on the Status response pages.
Changes
- Facebook login was fixed, redirects properly.
- The design on the Last Step form after login was updated to match similar to the main registration form. It fits on the screen now, uses proper margins.
- Map icon was changed, no longer uses a globe, but on that looks like a map.
- Response icon was changed from a check in a box to two speach bubbles. Reflects Tugthr's branding better.
- Route for the column global charts has been corrected.
- Tons of inline CSS was moved to the main style sheet
- JS functionality was centralized more
- FontAwesome 4 was replaced with FontAwesome 5 which has SVG support.
Deletions
- Removed un-needed code.
- FontAwesome 4 was removed.
- Owl Carousel was removed.
- Parallex slider was removed.
- Login sign-up modal was removed.
Known Bugs
- Some icons may show up as mystery signs.
- Like buttons may redirect to posting functions?
