Hello everyone,
It's been awhile since we have made an update log, but not since we've made an update. Tugthr is getting better and faster each day as we improve elements both on the front end and the back end. These changes do take a lot of time and require sometimes, rewriting whole sections of the code. Sorry for the lack of update information, but hope those have seen it happen as it does.
Instead of giving an update as to the arbitrary things we have finished, I will write this in a more letter like form. Hope it makes it a more enjoyable and informative read, as I can give the reason as to why we did what we did.
We have done a lot for Tugthr especially on the front end in the flow of content and how people function with it. We have moved a lot over to client-side validation, in order to streamline the processes of signing up and signing in. This also got applied to voting on the Tugs page specifically.
For the Tugs page, we changed how one votes. Instead of having to see these bright, red buttons that say "Vote" or "Voted", we have replaced it with clicking on the photo. If you want to vote, simply just click on a photo of a post you've not voted on yet, and a ballot like prompt should come up asking to verify your selection. No more drop downs, very straightforward choices. We also added an icon on the Tugs page to every post to show how many votes have been submitted and it colors based on if you've voted or not.
Design wise, you will see some nice changes to the front page. We have made the question and option information for Tugs fluid with the page now. There has been other minor tweeks to certain elements in the header, error messages, tugs, tags, and statistics.
The last major change came with the update of the login and sign up pages to client side validation. We created better error messages, pre-post validation, accessible form elements, and accessible error output. Trying our best to make Tugthr useable by all.
We hope you continue to grow and share with us as we continue our journey! We are sorry again for the lack of update messages! It will not happen again!
If you happen to see anymore, please don't hesitate to hit the "Report Bugs Here" in the top right corner of all main pages. Or you can just Click Here!
Thank you to everyone again for being patient with us as we push through our updates, in the coming weeks...we hope to be adding many new features and being bug-free!
Go out there and keep Tugging,
Anthony Hathaway
